Vets in Action, an award-winning role-playing experience for future veterinarians, is asking children to become zoo vets over the February half-term.
During a fun week of interactive family events honouring their outstanding job, kids can take on the role of a vet at ZSL London Zoo from Saturday, February 12 to Sunday, February 20.
After arriving at the Zoo’s specially-recreated zoo vet centre, junior vets will be fitted with hairnets and masks before assisting experts in examining, diagnosing, and treating soft toys, gaining first-hand experience with the Zoo’s vets, vet nurses, and zookeepers – everything from microchipping meerkats to the ultrasound of a pregnant sloth.
Throughout the week, further demonstrations and presentations will take families deeper into the wonderful world of the Zoo, revealing everything we do to keep our 20,000 residents in good shape.
