The Avro Vulcan B2 and the McDonnell Douglas Phantom FGR2 are two of the most iconic Cold War aircraft, and together they convey a storey of uncertainty and anxiety that loomed over the world for decades. You’ll have privileged access to each of these fearsome warriors, allowing you to crawl into the cockpit of the Vulcan and take a seat in the pilot’s seat of the Phantom. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience what it was like to fly these incredible planes.
Ticket holders will also be given a full ground tour, including the opportunity to get up close and personal with other significant Cold War aircraft such as the BAC Lightning F6, the Handley Page Victor K2, and the English Electric Canberra PR3, as well as hear fascinating real-life stories from the pilots.
Please Note: The Vulcan and Cold War Experience runs on selected dates throughout the year on the middle Wednesday and last Tuesday of every month at the RAF Museum in London.
