The Royal Hospital Chelsea is the home of the world-famous Chelsea Pensioners. Approximately 300 army veterans currently reside in the Royal Hospital, including soldiers who had served within Korea, the Falkland Islands, Cyprus, Northern Ireland, & World War II, among other conflicts.
A wonderful architectural heritage bequeathed by Charles II & Sir Christopher Wren, the Royal Hospital was founded in 1692 and has remained thus ever since. The property is still being maintained today, with continuous restoration work being done to guarantee that its heritage is carried through into the future. Events like Luna Cinema assist to raise funds for the upkeep of the hospital as well as the care of the pensioners who live there.
