Like many other Irish institutions, such as the RIA, the academy retained the word “Royal”, after Ireland’s independence. Located just 2 minutes walk from St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin’s Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA) is one of Ireland’s principal public arts organisations. Exhibiting contemporary Irish and international artists the RHA has a proud history of promoting the visual arts in Ireland since 1823. Open seven days a week, with free admission
