Some Guys Have All The Luck – The Rod Stewart Story will return to theatres in 2021 with a brand-new production, bringing to the stage a magnificent live concert celebration of one of rock music’s greatest heroes, Rod Stewart. It has been more than 50 years since the publication of Rod’s debut record.
As Rod, Paul Metcalfe, the band’s frontman, is fantastic. He perfectly portrays the enthusiasm, energy, and charm of the iconic performer, as well as the infamous movements, showmanship, and joy that have helped Rod become one of the world’s most successful artists.
During the first half of the show, you will hear songs from Rod’s earlier career, like Handbags & Gladrags & You Wear It Well, as well as some Faces favourites, such as Stay With Me & Twisting The Night Away. All of these songs will be entangled by some fascinating and entertaining anecdotes and will take you on the musical journey through Rod’s line of work in the last 5 decades – coming from humble beginnings all the way up to superstardom.
It’s one huge party in the second half, with all of Rod’s biggest songs on the soundtrack including Maggie May, Baby Jane, Da Ya Think I’m Sexy, Tonight’s the Night, The First Cut Is The Deepest, and You’re in My Heart. The first half of the show is a celebration of Rod’s life and career.
Now in its fourth season, this genuine performance boasts a beautiful stage design, a dazzling light display, an outstanding live band, and stage-wide projections.
