Maliphant’s studies and investigations into movement and anatomy served as the foundation for Silent Lines, which used a combination of music, dance, animated video projection, and lighting to produce rich and evocative aesthetics for the stage.
In this poem, a variety of poetic possibilities from both internal and exterior settings, as well as the microcosm and the macrocosm, are explored. Silent Lines investigates the limitless web of connections we embrace and embody by utilising approaches from a range of dynamically distinct movement disciplines and putting the action in a realm of animated light and ambient sound.
