When Hansel and Gretel are abandoned in the Wild Woods, a chain of events unfolds leading the two children on a journey through some of our most beloved fairytales. Come, be delighted by foolish Princesses who dance till their shoes are worn-out; meet – at least one – vengeful stepmother; empathise with Hansel and Gretel’s father as he searches the forest for signs of his precious children; and laugh, boo, and hiss at the man without a name.
The wonderful production by Chickenshed brought a traditional story to life – with a twist. This is a show you don’t want to miss. This mixed-up story has a huge and incredibly diverse ensemble, surely to be a brilliant and unforgettable theatrical experience for adults and children alike.
