This early 18th century classified traditional farmhouse was re-thatched and restored in 2000, with a large portion of the original fabric retained.

The Winter family has preserved the cottage throughout the years, and there are relics from the Battle of the Diamond, as well as old agricultural and dairy artefacts, on display.

The original wood used to create the house was recently dated, showing that it is possibly one of the last residences to utilise Irish Oak as a construction material.
