CHICAGO, the “sexiest musical ever” (Metro), returns to the Churchill Theatre Bromley for one week only, starring Faye Brookes from Coronation Street as Roxie Hart, Darren Day as Billy Flynn, as well as West End stars Djalenga Scott as Velma Kelly & Joel Montague acting as Amos Hart.
CHICAGO is the storey of Roxie Hart, a housewife & nightclub dancer that murders her on-the-side boyfriend as he poses a threat to walk out on her during the razzle-dazzle extravagance of the 1920s. She hires Chicago’s slickest criminal lawyer to turn her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which could just as easily be ripped from today’s tabloid.
CHICAGO’s sultry, sassy score, which includes Razzle Dazzle, Cell Block Tango, and All That Jazz, was written by musical theatre legends John Kander, Fred Ebb, and famous choreographer Bob Fosse.
