2. Galleries
If you see yourself getting caught in a downpour in Trafalgar Square when looking for things to do this weekend in London, well then the National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery and Somerset House are all within a couple of minutes walk of each other. And most galleries are in fact completely free for you to roam around in, however, booking is required. Of course, these staple Galleries are the perfect rainy day escape but we’ve also found some of London’s lesser-known art galleries for a bit of a different perspective.

Barbican
We all know The Barbican Estate, isn’t a really attractive thing to see in London. This concrete drab, strangely shaped building is impossible to appreciate at first sight unless you’re a huge lover of Brutalist design (or a Guildhall student). However, The green Barbican Conservatory, a glass-bound rainforest in the middle of the City, is one such place that is both gorgeous and adored by many. And this indoor, lush paradise opened seven days a week last summer and has recently reopened to visitors once again- so there’s really no reason not to pay a visit!
